Lordy lordy the heat is too much...

Wow what a summer we are having here. The hottest I can remember in 30 years. It's too hot to do much at all night-time temperatures of 30 plus and many days of 40 plus . Way too hot. That and holidays are my excuse for not posting much.  I have managed a few bits and pieces though and here they are

My first element of French Cuirassiers. Turned out nicely I think . Not much conversion apart from the officer in Bicorn.

Bavarian cavalry . I used French dragoons with the heads from the helmeted infantry.. Thank goodness I only need 4 more elements.

I also managed  a few more Bavarian Infantry

  1. Lovely stuff once again. I just wish we had some of your heat as it feels more like late Autumn here in bristol rather than towards the end of Summer.

    1. I was in Oxford last weekend and it was a relief. Nice and sunny but oh so much cooler. Today we have had a thunder storm . With luck the weather will break.

  2. Nice troops!
Cold wet and miserable here today. I think it might be a good time to revisit my Napoleonic stuff.... It has been too long.

    1. These wooden gents have certainly worked wonders for me on the Napoleonic front. I started gaming in 20mm Napoleonic many years ago but tired of it when I couldn't find rules simple enough to let me play at the command level I required and 20mm didn't look like the level either. Having found several sets that work recently and the visible effect of massed 6mm I am back into the era with some gusto.

  3. I continue to be impressed with how effective and attractive these troops are! Good work!

It's been cool here in New England the past 2 weeks, but that's about to change... as usual for our area, the stock saying being "if you don't like the weather, just wait a day or two!"

    1. They are even more impressive in "real life". This project is one that's really worth supporting. They fit in with metal figures and are ridiculously cheap. I think they are currently 2GBP for 96 infantry or 36 cavalry. They are also incredibly light so postage is minimal. Those facts make them an economic no brainer!!

  4. Currently sat in my living room with my log burner blazing up the chimney. Its very cold up North in the United Kingdom.
Love the figures by the way.

    1. Oh dear I'm flying to the UK on Tuesday. Just for one day but I guess I may need to pack some warm clothes.. I have recently visited your blog. I love the 6mm Napoleonics. I also love Blucher as one of the best corps level games around. Simple, feels good and very easy to learn.
